Youth for Earth
Youth for Earth was an Erasmus+ project bringing together young people from Denmark and Italy to explore how to move from concern to action in relation to environmental, social, and wellbeing-related challenges.
Through workshops, mentoring, and local activities, participants developed and implemented their own micro-projects. These small, community-based initiatives focused on topics such as sustainability, mental health, and social inclusion, and were shaped by the interests and realities of the young people involved.
A key part of the project was mapping existing social and environmental initiatives, which provided inspiration and helped participants understand how ideas can be translated into practice. Based on this, youth developed their own actions and tested them in real-life settings.
The project resulted in a collection of youth-led initiatives, a shared mapping of inspiring practices, and a toolbox of methods used to support the process. Together, these outcomes show how young people can take meaningful action without needing large-scale resources or fixed solutions

10 youth from Denmark (including 5 from FGU Nord Gladsaxe and 5 with a special interest in the project) and 10 youth from Italy.
Mentorship and guidance provided by Civil Connections and Polygonal.
The Journey:
The project began in March 2025 with a joint workshop in Copenhagen, where all 20 participants came together to learn skills in project development, teamwork, and community engagement and share ideas and develop concrete action plans for their initiatives
Over the following months, each team worked on launching their micro-projects with ongoing mentoring.
In June 2025, the group reunited in Italy for a second workshop to present their initiatives and reflect on progress, get inspired by local social and environmental projects and learn practical tools for fundraising and scaling their ideas.
