COMING To EUROPE (Comung2Europe) project
About the project:
Coming to Europe (Coming2Europe) project went out to contribute to enriching of migrant inclusion efforts into European local communities through sharing reflective stories and dialogues on migrant experiences and perceptions. This in turn, should contribute to an EU that is tolerant to diversity and that has increased supportive tools in inter-cultural citizenship for easier and quicker migrant inclusion. So, the 60 plus episodes of the podcasts of migrant stories should contribute to enriching/nuancing the migration dialogue.
The project process:
To deliver the project we implemented the following activities:
- Three (3) transnational partner meetings (TPMs) to ensure proper coordination.
- Train community mobilisers in the approach of the project to ensure effective implementation.
- Mobilize, recruit, and produce 60 podcasts of migrant stories to enrich the debate/dialogue.
- Turn some of the podcasts into a shareable storybook.
- Develop a self-paced online course of podcasting for social causes.
- Implement 6 community events for results multiplication.
The project's key outputs
The project has created several outputs in support of the mission we set out on. The VIDEO on the right tells more. Here below are the key outputs.
- An online self paced course in podcasting and storytelling freely available to the public. Find the course HERE – might require setting up a free user account.
- A sixty (60) episode podcast of migrant stories about moving to and settling into Europe – experiences and inclusion efforts. Find this HERE and a general gathering of all podcasts in the series HERE
- A booklet of selected stories among the 60 compiled and publicly available HERE.
